Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join the Post-Critical Care Rehabilitation Team. The post offers the opportunity to work alongside our established Critical Care therapy team and other specialised teams to support with rehabilitation onto the medical and surgical wards within the University Hospitals of North Midlands based at the Royal Stoke Hospital.
This is a really exciting opportunity for someone to lead a service within the patient journey and to enhance patient care and experience. You will lead a team with a Band 5 Therapist and a Band 4 Therapy Technician to support complex patients transferring from critical care to the ward environment.
Our critical care unit has 36 beds including surgical, medical, neurosurgical and trauma and lends itself naturally to innovative ways of working. It is also supported by an experienced therapy and multidisciplinary team and will give the post holder an excellent opportunity to consolidate their leadership and management skills as well as building clinical expertise that will enhance and broaden rehabilitation skills., The Multidisciplinary team is part of the West Midlands Adult Critical Care Network which provides opportunity to network nationally through national events and conferences and be instrumental in leading on new ways of working and implementing new initiatives.
