Full Job Description

We are looking for an Apprentice policy officer to join our award winning and dedicated team. You will work as a support staff member providing locally delivered, comprehensive administrative support for our alarms policies. You will not be expected to have any previous knowledge or experience with alarms policies - Full training will be provided., Update and maintain Storm Alarm database to maintain accurate records and produce letters to alarmed premises.

Open and organise daily correspondence and send out confirmation correspondence and renewal fees in relation to Smoke Cloak, Lone worker and other forms of alarms.

Deal with written and digital correspondence from Alarm companies, members of the public and police departments.

Type letters and emails ensuring a prompt reply in accordance with the Alarm Policy and police response.

Deal with telephone and email enquiries from Alarm companies, members of the public and police employees.

Produce accurate monthly statistical information.

Where needed, make decisions regarding ACPO Alarm Policy to ensure quality of service to the public and security industry.

Undertake all responsibilities relating to information management, data quality, information sharing, intelligence and information security in accordance with the ACPO Guidance on the Management of Police Information in order to achieve compliance with the Statutory Code of Practice.

The work in the force is varied and offers team members the opportunity to use a variety of force systems and gain a variety of skills. In addition to the inhouse training you will receive from our experienced and talented team; you will also undertake a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with Riverside College. You will attend our training academy in South Liverpool (222 Mather Avenue, L18 9TG) one day per fortnight and your assessor will meet with you on a one-to-one basis at you place of work.

An awareness of diversity, equality and inclusion., GCSE Grades A

  • - C (9-4 equivalent) in Maths and English or equivalent e.g. Level 2 functional skills.
