Full Job Description

The apprenticeship will take approximately 12 months to complete and will allow you to achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care. You will work alongside experienced staff members and learn the skills and knowledge you will need to become a confident Social Care Worker. You will be fully supported by your colleagues and your manager throughout your apprenticeship, and you will develop valuable experience within the industry. Not only that, but you'll make a huge difference to people's lives, whilst enjoying days out, trips away and joining in with many more activities. All of this ensures the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.,

  • Providing personal care - including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding

  • Medication administration

  • Assisting and getting involved in residents' daily activities, hobbies or outings

  • Following care plan guidance alongside Company policies and procedures

  • Developing an open, honest, and considerate working relationships with residents

  • Maintaining written daily records

  • Attending and complete training, as required, Learning Academy - Adult Care Worker Level 2 and Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 qualifications for all staff

    Where will you work?

    Ballards Ash is a spacious and attractive former farmhouse on the edge of the village of Wootton Bassett, in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, within easy reach of Swindon. The home supports up to 10 young adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs. Outside is a large, safe garden, divided into relaxation and recreation areas. Ballards Ash has a Day Activities Coordinator who develops individually tailored activity programmes based on individual preference and capability.
