Full Job Description

As an integral member of the Cost team, you will perform a variety of tasks in accordance with processes and procedures, to ensure the prompt and accurate payment of our supplier invoices.
Reporting to the Finance Manager this role is suited to someone with previous purchase ledger experience and management accounts exposure. Your focus will be on supporting the month end routine by assisting the team members.

Full training will be provided and we are happy to support the successful candidate with professional qualifications in line with the role. This is an office-based role working a 39-hour week with some flexibility around start and end times and an early finish on a Friday.

Responsibilities
· Purchase Ledger
o Processing purchase invoices to Sage 200 and internal systems
o Reconciling supplier invoices to delivery notes and PO numbers
o Reconciliation of monthly supplier statements to supplier ledger
o Analysing and coding high volumes of invoices and ensuring timely payments
· Nominal Ledger
o Daily bank reconciliation
o Preparing and reconciling prepayments and accruals
o Credit Card - analysis, coding and input
o Expenses - analysis, coding, input and process payments
o Hotel Booking - booking, analysis, coding and input
o Assisting with the month-end closure procedure
· Business partnering
o Dealing with internal and external queries by phone, email and face to face
o Taking ownership for the resolution of queries raised

· Minimum of 6 months' office experience
· Previous experience working within Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable desirable
· A level or equivalent qualifications in a numerate subject preferred
· Confident with numbers
· Highly organised, able to meet strict deadlines with good attention to detail
· A can-do attitude, along with the confidence and communication skills to contribute ideas effectively
· Strong IT skills
