Full Job Description

· Purchase Ledger processing (using Sage 50 accounts), obtain any missing invoices, prepare monthly supplier payments and payment allocation.

· Reconciliation of bank accounts.

· Record staff expenses and credit card entries.

· Payroll processing monthly, tax, Pensions, P11d preparations (3 staff are on payroll software MoneySoft).

· Liaising with suppliers, pension company and accountants, when necessary.

· Keep on top of filing systems including emails.

· Monthly stock adjustment.

· Preparation of management reports upon request.

· Run and submit VAT quarterly and run and submit year ends on time providing accountants with records required.

This position is for a long established, small family-run engineering business with EU and Non-EU customers and suppliers. We require a bookkeeper & payroll manager who is reliable, organised and proactive.

The position can be for someone self-employed or who can be under contract for 1 day per week, which day can be determined by the successful applicant.

Ideally you will have at least 5 years previous book-keeping experience on Sage 50 accounts with a good understanding of accountancy processes and confident to run payroll on your own for 3 staff.,
