Full Job Description

· In the absence of the Head Chef, you will be responsible for running all kitchen outlets.

· Train and monitor junior Chefs and their performance, with customer service and quality of offering as a top priority.

· Maximise all sales opportunities and ensure the highest quality of presentation of both food and the outlets themselves.

· High quality customer service to deliver an exception brand experience for all visitors and to ensure that the team follows your example.

· Preparation, cooking and serving of food to a high standard.

· Assist the Head Chef in maintaining a 5 Star EHO rating.

· Ensure the implementation of Safer Food Better Business at all times.

· Ensuring that cleaning and housekeeping duties, including scheduled deep cleans are being carried out to the Healeys standard.

· Excellent product knowledge of own goods as well as Cornish goods and ensuring that you promote these when designing menus.

· Assist in control of stock and wastage control.

· When designing menus ensure food profit margin to be maintained as per budget.

· Ensure best work practice is followed in all areas of Health & Safety and Food Safety.

To be open to completing tasks which may fall outside of your role or remit with a positive, sleeves rolled up mentality.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Gylly Beach Cafe! As a Sours Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring exceptional food is delivered to our guest. If you have a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and can get creative over dishes we want to hear from you., Previous experience in a leadership role in a kitchen or culinary environment
