Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Manager. This part-time role combines managerial responsibilities with hands-on nursing care, ensuring high-quality patient care and smooth operation of our home. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a passion for healthcare.

DM(RN) 14 hours. Monday - Friday, 9am-4pm or 8am-3pm £21.70

Nurse 12 hours. With a 1/2 hour , 7am-7:30pm unpaid break £19.94

Shifts on a rota basis.

About the role

As a Deputy Manager (RN) with Leonard Cheshire, you will fully support the Service Manager in the running of the nursing home and deputise in their absence. Providing effective management and supervision of a great team (including nurses and care staff), you will lead with passion and enthusiasm to ensure the service is well run. You will promote positive outcomes for disabled people with a flexible and proactive approach.

Responsible for monitoring and providing the highest standards of nursing, clinical and personal support to our customers, you will promote independence and choice. You will ensure the service is fully compliant regarding health and safety management, fulfilling statutory obligations and excellent overall service delivery.

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse

  • A level of professional development and registration (may include Level 5 Leadership in Health and Social Care qualification).

  • Experience in managing a team of nursing and care staff.

  • Experience of providing direct personal and social care.

  • Experience in working with customers who have physical and/or learning disabilities.

  • Flexibility to work rostered hours.
