Full Job Description

As the Early Careers Lead at Mitie, you will be a key member of the Resourcing team and wider People team, collaborating closely with your Learning & Development colleagues, Resourcing Business Partners and People Business Partners.

You will report to the Resourcing Leadership Team, to develop and launch Mitie's first centralised Early Careers program. This is an exciting opportunity involving planning and implementing pathways for apprenticeships and graduate schemes, initially focusing on core skill areas in Engineering.

You will champion initiatives that promote social value, diversity, and inclusion within our Resourcing strategy, crafting comprehensive talent attraction campaigns, and designing an industry leading candidate experience.

You will partner closely with the business leaders and our people team to maximise our intake of Apprentices and Graduates into new and existing open roles.

Your efforts will be key to ensuring that our programs are accessible and appealing to a diverse range of talent, fostering an inclusive culture that values different perspectives and backgrounds. While focusing primarily on technical disciplines, you will also have the flexibility to develop ad-hoc business or professional programs as needed. This aspect of your role allows for creativity and responsiveness to the evolving needs of the market and our organisation.

This role offers a unique opportunity to build and lead the Early Careers program from (almost!) scratch, making a tangible impact on the future talent pipeline.

About You

We're looking for a colleague to join our team who can demonstrate a proven track record in designing and implementing early career programs.

Strong background in collaborating with L&D teams to ensure the right college and learning modules are ready for our incoming talent will be essential in this role.

You are passionate and committed to promoting social value, diversity, equity and inclusion within workplace programs.

While this role will predominantly manage the attraction and acquisition of talent at the beginning of their career, an additional and important element of this role will be to identify opportunities for Apprentices to join Mitie at ANY stage in their carer journey, as part of our commitment to removing barriers to work, upskilling and reskilling.
