Full Job Description

  • To update and maintain information held within the Council's Mapping System (QGIS).

  • To create mapping layers using point and polygons and cross-reference to Council ownership data held within Asset Management Systems.

  • To update and document new processes and protocols in relation to mapping system.

  • To assist in the update and maintenance of data systems managed by Estates & Assets Division.

  • To input data and to implement checking and auditing processes to ensure the accuracy of information within the data systems and mapping layers.

  • To respond to enquiries on the Council's land ownership, received from Council Services, Councillors and members of the public.

  • To support projects by researching, maintaining, updating and retrieving data and reports for clients and managers, relating to Council property.

  • To utilise enhanced Excel skills to summarise large volumes of data to produce reports and charts in meaningful format.

  • Assisting surveyors with general estate management; site inspections; production of plans, attending work group meetings.

  • To assist in the management and administration of manual and electronic filing protocols and procedures.

Apprentice rate: Apprentices who undertake Level 3 apprenticeships are paid a salary of £12,347 PA for the first 12 months rising to Grade 1 SCP 2 £22,366 for the remaining months of the contract (18 month contract) Interview Date: 4th July 2024.
