Full Job Description

Join our well-established manufacturing team in Clevedon and make a valuable contribution to our success. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Maintenance Assistant to help us ensure our facilities are always in top condition.,

  • Perform basic plumbing tasks, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, maintaining water systems and changing taps

  • Conduct basic electrical repairs and maintenance, such as replacing light fixtures, resetting breakers, and ensuring safe electrical practices.

  • Undertake general maintenance duties, including painting, decorating, minor carpentry work and generally maintaining the building.

  • Work at heights

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all equipment is safely installed and dismantled.

  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly and efficiently.

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become problems.

    NVQ qualifies or apprenticeship within building services / facilities

  • Relevant certifications or vocational training in plumbing, electrical work, or general maintenance

  • Proven experience with basic plumbing and electrical tasks 18th Edition desirable

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.

  • Comfortable working at heights and using ladders and other equipment safely.

  • Basic skills in painting and decorating.

  • Must be computer literate and have experience with Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to manage time effectively.

  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges as they arise.
