Full Job Description

  • onducting condition reports


  • anaging the photography for the furniture sections of auctions


  • dhering to deadlines


  • diting photos before upload.


    • Saleroom Duties and Management:
  • iaising with clients regarding pre and post-sale enquiries


  • aily manual handling, lifting and stacking of heavy furniture, pictures and small objects


  • eceiving and managing incoming deliveries including checking off against contracts


  • anaging the logistics of inhouse and offsite furniture storage areas to ensure smooth stock rotation and careful handling of goods


  • ssisting to prepare the auction room for viewings and ensure lotting up is completed on time


  • elping to set the auction room up for sales, general auction and viewing day duties


  • ost-sale unsold lot management, re-entering of unsold lots in following auctions


  • anagement and co-ordination of storage areas


  • ssisting the cataloguers and valuers as required for all departments

    oseberys are seeking a diligent, enthusiastic and passionate person to join our furniture department as a valuer and cataloguer. This is a full-time position and based predominantly in-house within the auction rooms., achelor's Degree desirable but not essential


  • xperience within an auction house with a good understanding of the auction process and previous furniture cataloguing and valuation experience desirable but not essential


  • eam orientated but also with the ability to work confidently alone


  • xperience in manual handling of heavy furniture an advantage but not essential


  • bility to maintain composure in a stressful environment and meet deadlines


  • riven with a positive and can-do attitude


  • xcellent communication and presentation skills
