Full Job Description

  • Here in Northumberland, we have a fantastic mix of customers, and no day is the same.

  • Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you'll quality check and log any outstanding repairs to our inhouse repairs team.

  • Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on to their rent account.

  • Where there is a need, you'll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.

  • Getting rooms ready for the next customer who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, you'll turn around vacant or void rooms / properties within set timescales.

  • Ensuring we are health and safety compliant; you will have an oversight of your patch's health and safety control book.

  • We have a brilliant team of concierges in our service, you will be on hand to help with any questions they may have.

  • Experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties.

  • Know-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.

  • Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues.

  • The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.

  • A "can do" positive attitude, you're proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.

  • Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners

The Northumberland housing team is responsible for all things housing related within the supported sector, our properties range from independent community living to multi-room complexes. Maintained by a highly skilled team of handy people and monitored by our proactive concierges, you will fit right into a busy team. We pride ourselves in creating a home everyone can be proud of!

  • Working hours - Monday to Friday 9:00-17:00

  • Flexible working hours (or we're open to agreeing a work pattern with you)

  • Based at our service in Morpeth you'll spend your time travelling between the properties. You will be allocated your own services to coordinate.

  • Able to use technology for creating and updating Health and safety documents, making benefit claims, and doing tenancy signs ups.

  • To get from A to B, you'll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we'll pay your mileage!

  • You'll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
