Junior Contracts Manager

This role provides support to the Project Manager and Managing Director. The role would be ideal for those looking to aspire to the role of contracts manager or project manager within our organisation. Experience in the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential- provided you are willing to learn

You will learn all aspects of contract management starting with the basics and working your way through. Training and guidance will be provided by our Project Manager as well as our Managing Director.

The successful applicant with be methodical, accurate and be capable of working to deadlines. You must have a positive outlook together with a professional attitude, and be confident in dealing with internal management, contractors, employees, suppliers, and customers. The ideal candidate will also have a clean driving licence.

Full Time - 7.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday (pending requirements)

Key Tasks Include assisting with:

· Liaising with clients, fitters, and sub-trades.

· Running/organise small projects

· Meet clients at key stages of schedule.

· Managing fitters

· Sub trades - Meet/brief and manage. Organise templates, pass on details and information regarding jobs on site.

· Put together contract files, price, and specification from sub trades

· Attend site visits with MD and PM taking notes and measurements.

· Action all agreements from site meetings. To include workshop orders, updating schedule of works and front sheets etc.

· Ensure/assist with adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.

· Assist with ordering.

· Occasional deliveries to site

· Occasional assist with fitting teams (lifting etc)

· Attend contracts meeting

· Excellent communication and organisation skills both verbal and written.

· Highly proficient in Excel and MS office.

· Project driven, numerate and methodical in approach

· Excellent interpersonal skills, common sense required as well as a good sense of humour!

· Full clean UK driving licence, · Enthusiastic, flexibility to carry out duties that may not be part of their normal remit

· Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and with own initiative, as judgements and decisions taken on a daily basis for all tasks.

· Ability to prioritise workload and progress projects.

· Use of one's own initiative.

· Positive outlook and a 'can do' approach.

· Both a team player and able to work alone.

· Outgoing and friendly.

· Ability to meet deadlines.
