Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) is one of the business units of ENGIE. Its mission is to provide a comprehensive range of services related to energy and risk management, to other business units within ENGIE (notably renewable or flexible energy generation assets), as well as to third party clients (eg. banks, investment funds, utilities, large industrials, B2B customers, …). By providing these services, GEMS is a key enabler of the energy transition. Within GEMS, the Commercial Expertise Center (Commercial EC) has the global oversight role supporting the Business Platforms to ensure the highest quality of products, provide a consistent global overview of client commercial performance, create transversality, share expertise and common practices, and assure that GEMS keeps focused on clients and counterparts needs. Through its organisation, GEMS is able to cover most of the key geographical markets. Within GEMS' Business Unit, GEM UK manages assets and product portfolios related
to power, gas, and emissions in the UK markets, actively supporting the country's ambitious path to a net zero economy., In light of a continuous transformation agenda combined with an ambition to expand the UK platform, GEM UK has initiated the hiring of a Lead Digitalization Initiatives Manager. Responsible for driving the Digitalization of Business Processes, the UK lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing digital strategies to enhance efficiency and innovation in our GEM UK energy management and trading operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in initiating and implementing digital solutions in the energy sector.,

  • Develop and lead the deployment of a comprehensive digitalization strategy aligned with the goals of GEM UK

  • Identify the digital solutions to optimize processes and drive business value by leveraging digital technologies and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure its successful implementation and ongoing use and development.

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement digital solutions that enhance energy management and trading processes and ensure its successful implementation and ongoing use and development.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their applicability to energy management and trading.

  • Provide recommendations on technology adoption, considering industry trends and organizational.

  • Identify strategies and technology for system and data unification

  • Implement change management processes to facilitate the adoption of digital solutions.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to digitalized processes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive innovation and digital transformation.

  • Manage the analysis of data and systems output to measure and verify and report on the process optimisation and the operational performance.

  • Communicate the benefits of digital initiatives to stakeholders and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

    Extensive experience (15+) in leading digital deployment and operation, with a proven track record of driving digital transformation.

  • At least Bachelor's degree (Ideally a masters) in engineering, business engineering, mathematics or physics.
