Marquee Rigger / Tipi Rigger / Labourer

Suffolk Marquees is a small family run business based just outside of Ipswich. We are looking to recruit hardworking, polite, additional Seasonal Marquee/Tipi Installers to cover the coming months. We hire out linkable Giant hat tipis, frame marquees and stretch tents along with furniture for Weddings, private & corporate functions along with other events.

Hours will vary from part-time to full-time between now and end of November as our season extends. The candidate will have a an-do attitude, attention to detail and problem solving skills.

This role will suit people looking for flexible full day's work fitting around any other commitments. Mainly Monday to Friday but you will be required to work some weekends It is essential that you are willing to work long hours in all weathers and aware this role is physically demanding.

The Role includes:

• working as part of a crew, following directions installing the marquee/tipi to the clients pre-arranged requirements.


• High attention to detail, problem solving skills

• van/trailer loading/unloading following load lists

• Other miscellaneous duties


• Cleaning & maintenance of stock


Each installation is unique as we travel all over Suffolk & Essex - each day is different. The marquees vary in size and can include all accessories lighting, dance floors, matting and furniture. The ideal candidates will be practical, hardworking; physically fit, good at taking instruction, have great customer service, an organised team member with a can-do attitude and good work ethic. Experience in temporary structure installations is preferred but not essential as full training will be given. Basic education is necessary, you are responsible for your own Health & Safety but also that of the team around you and to follow the companies guidelines. Full training given.

Essential Skill Set:

Preferred but not essential Skill set:

• Marquee, Giant hat tipi & stretch tent installation experience


• Ability to tow a trailer, GCSE or equivalent (preferred)


Experience:

• Temporary structure installation: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• clean driving license essential, GCSE or equivalent (preferred)


Experience:
