Full Job Description

As a Network Operations Manager you play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of an organisation's live network infrastructure including the overall performance, maintenance and operations for the DAS, Small Cells and Wi-Fi infrastructure in accordance with the Company's operations policies, standards and procedures as well as regulatory guidelines. The Network Operations Manager will ensure regular preventative maintenance to the network is carried out to ensure minimal service disruption for our customers and will work closely with our Service Team to ensure any issues are rectified effectively and efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Oversee the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, responsible for managing maintenance and operations for the DAS, Small Cells, Smart Cities and Wi-Fi infrastructure

  • Lead a team of NOC Engineers, providing both technical and people leadership. Setting standards, direction, and guidance. People leadership to include hiring, mentoring, performance reviews, rewards determination, training, scheduling etc.

  • Develop and lead on processes, policies and procedures to comply with industry standards and regulations for efficient operation of a live network whilst ensuring the timely resolution of site and network issues through efficient processes and procedures.

  • Operational acceptance for new products and services

  • Manage network related preventative maintenance programs

  • Manage 3rd party relationships with Field & Network partners

  • Develop systems and maintain records that provide for the proper evaluation, control and documentation of assigned activities; prepares and directs the preparation of a variety of written correspondence, reports, procedures, directives and other materials.

  • Ensure clear visibility, escalation, and tracking of all service interruptions or hazards which present safety issues.

  • Ensure compliance with all customer Service Level Agreements.

  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers and vendors.

  • Manage the Repair and Maintenance forecast; participate in operational reporting and analysis activities.

  • Prepare, review and provide weekly updates for all activities assigned to the Operations team and provide status reports to department Director as requested.

  • Ensure proper preparation for and lead resolution of all disasters, incidents and major service interruptions in assigned area.

  • Monitor need and availability of sub-contractors in conjunction with current and future projects including the interviewing, hiring, and managing of sub-contractors as needed.

  • Ensure sub-contractors work is reviewed and meets KPIs and quality standards and that a final inspection is completed on sub-contractors work and any deficiencies are corrected.

    Bachelor's Degree in related discipline (Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science)

  • Relevant industry accepted networking related certifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical engineer in design, development and maintenance of medium to large scale telecommunications or enterprise network infrastructure

  • Operations experience in the telecoms or transit industry

  • Be able to influence and facilitate discussion with customers and partners to achieve a set objective and create an inclusive environment for collaboration and co-design.

  • Apply, develop and share detailed technical expertise, understand other organizational disciplines

  • Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, set a standard of high-quality deliverables, achieve project goals

  • Able to rapidly learn and research new technologies as required by the organization/industry

  • Building relationships, networking, relating to all levels within internal and external organizations
