We are currently looking to recruit a Packing Operative to join our award-winning business in Rochdale.

Our Rochdale site specialises in the development, manufacture and sale of agricultural, industrial, and food processing biocidal hygiene products, including cleaners and disinfectants.
The purpose of the role is to operate filling lines to meet planned volumes and targets in accordance with safety and quality standards. As part of a team you will be following agreed operating procedures, to deliver manufacturing production performance targets will adhering to HSE and quality.
What you'll be doing:

  • Filling and packing the company product range into a variety of containers either manually or by using automated and semi-automated filling equipment.

  • Setup/changeover filling lines in an efficient and effective manner. This includes full clean downs that need to be completed effectively and efficiently in the planned time frame.

  • Working in a safe manner with due regard to one's own safety and that of others, at all times abiding by the companies' health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Being flexible in the operating of all lines within the department when required.

  • Maintaining housekeeping standards during all packaging procedures, cleaning of equipment and area

  • Working to daily targets and performing tasks accordingly.

  • Carrying out other reasonable duties as requested by the department line management.

  • Undertaking specific projects as and when required within the scope of the job holder's capabilities and responsibilities.

    You will be hard-working and organized.

  • You'll be an effective team member.

  • You'll ideally hold a current FLT licence.
