Full Job Description

You will be working within a fast evolving Highways and Transport Development Team and playing a pivotal role in the future development of the Electric Vehicle Charging vision for the Borough. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of helping to shape the EV future. Working within a team of dedicated, skilled professionals you will have a key role in assisting the Highways Team in delivering the modernisation agenda.
Main responsibilities;
- To manage and oversee the Council's strategic approach to modernisation, planning and implementation of the Electric Vehicle Charging agenda within Thurrock and to develop team capacity to meet this agenda
- To develop and deliver the Council's EV Charging Strategy and implementation programme, ensuring collaborative working opportunities are maximised.
- Identify and utilise internal and external funding opportunities for the procurement and implementation of EV charging infrastructure to align with local and national policy direction.

Ability to efficiently manage the strategy and delivery of the overall EV Charging project, including staff, resource and workload issues, ensuring completion within the agreed timescales.
- Knowledge and expertise to provide professional advice and technical guidance on EV Charging issues, including procurement of resource and external support.
- Appropriate knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation including Construction, Design and Management Regulations and Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
- Experience of dealing with key stakeholders and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills., Disability Confident
