Production Laboratory Technician

Avantor is looking for a Production Laboratory Technician to join the team based in Reading, UK. In this position you'll take ownership of assisting Production Operative Team with preparation of production materials, stock and waste management.,

• Prepare materials (test mixes, mobile phase solvents and buffers) for Production Team


• Production hardware preparation and recovering hardware from production process


• Waste disposal, materials and consumables stock and PPE management


• Coordinate delivery of materials and communication with delivery drivers


• Replenish working stocks of hardware and perform cleaning of recovered hardware

• Education: Science degree graduates looking for their first position in a laboratory, or candidates coming from different backgrounds, wanting to step into scientific environment


• Experience:


o Laboratory/ warehouse/ production experience, with strong customer service/ customer facing background
o Materials movement and materials controlling experience is desirable
o We will consider candidates coming from retail and hospitality backgrounds

This role will be a full-time permanent position based at Hichrom (part of Avantor) in Reading. Next to an attractive salary, we offer multiple benefits such as pension scheme, private medical and dental care, and additional day off for your birthday.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00
The team
You'll join a team of three Production Laboratory Technicians and support Production Team with preparation of production materials, so our team can have their time back and focus on their core responsibilities. You'll belong to our business department Lab and Production Services, which supports big pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.
