Full Job Description

Independent working: The post holder will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy and will need to be comfortable in operating in an uncertain and constantly changing environment. Leadership and management: Coordinate the work of internal and external stakeholders to develop an effective integrated service that supports people to overcome low level health barriers that may prevent them from working. Engage internal (ICB) partners in the development and delivery of the service, particularly from the Primary Care Team. Engage with the national team and the National Support Offer Lead awareness raising of ICB team members through contributions to The Hub, Team Briefs, Team Awaydays etc.

Promote a culture of learning and continuous development Support implementation of all ICB policies and procedures, particularly in respect of an inclusive culture and working environment. Strategy and Planning: Develop all strategies, implementation plans and action plans relating to the development and delivery of the Workwell Service. Design, develop and overseeing implementation of the operating model for the service. Lead local evaluation work and engage with any national evaluation work on the impact of the service.

As required, contribute to the development of wider ICB and ICS strategies that are relevant to the programme. Analysis, information and reporting: Be responsible for the design and development of reporting processes, working with the Strategic Analytics Team to create the template reports and information flows. Coordinate work with local public health teams to complete and keep up to date, appropriate needs assessments and service mapping exercises. Produce regular performance and financial reports to the ICB Board, Strategic Commissioning Committee and Health Inequalities, Prevention and Personalisation (HIPP) Programme Board as required.

Operational delivery Oversee delivery of all aspects of the service, including supplier performance against commissioned contracts Be responsible for liaising with providers to implement remedial actions to address any areas of under-performance. Finance and resourcing: Work with the ICB finanance team to produce credible financial plans for delivery of the service. Be responsible for operational management of the budget, ensuring that the service outcomes are achieved whilst living within the financial envelope allocated to the service. Report on financial performance as required Manage the process for ensuring that the ICB complies with the DWP grant requirements so that the appropriate funds can be claimed through the grant process in a timely way.

Communications and engagement Be responsible for the quality and effective distribution of communications, engagement and promotional material required to raise awareness and uptake of the service across GP practices, employers, Job Centres etc.
