Full Job Description

This is a great opportunity for you to join our amazing team and improve outcomes for children right across Middlesbrough. This post is designed to complement the existing work of our well-established Inclusion Team, focusing particularly on children with Education Health and Care Plans. This post will be based with the Secondary/Post 16 Inclusion Team.

The job of an Inclusion Officer is to give information, advice and guidance to staff in schools and other educational settings and work with a wide range of professionals and organisations to help them to meet children's individual needs, promote inclusion and prevent exclusions.

The team is currently based at Middlesbrough House but the job can involve visits to schools and settings across Middlesbrough so you will need to have independent transport (appropriate mileage costs are paid).

The inclusion team follows a hybrid working model, spending some time working from home, time in the office and some time in schools and settings., This post is to support the development of our highly successful Inclusion and Outreach Team to offer more specific support to children and young people with EHCPs. We always offer excellent training and support.

This is a fixed term post until 01st September 2025, working 37 hours a week term time only.

The above posts are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
