Sessional Recovery Coordinator

Your primary focus will be on delivering one-to-one support or collaborative work, working closely with other staff within the project to utilise evidence-based practices addressing the specific needs of those accessing treatment and support with us.
Role-specific responsibilities include:

• Engaging those seeking support with substance use in effective, evidence-based, and recovery-focused treatment programs, including offering open access support, triage assessments, telephone screenings, needle exchange, and outreach activities.


• Supporting individuals from their initial contact with our service.


• Conducting screening, assessment, and recovery planning, and making necessary referrals.


• Reducing the harm related to drug and alcohol use for individuals and the wider community.


• Encouraging involvement from carers, service users, and the community.


• Providing advocacy to ensure access to partner services.
