Full Job Description

In this challenging and varied role, duties will include being responsible for carrying out a wide range of general building duties across the groups property portfolio, including sites in Herefordshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and North Wales. As traveling across the group is essential, accommodation will be provided where working away is required.

You will work as part of a small buildings team carrying out refurbishments and upgrades across a range of property types, this will include Decoration, Plastering, Tiling, Joinery Work and General Building work.

It is important that you are able to establish close liaison and good lines of communication with members of the buildings team and the wider property teams.

  • Experience working in a trade related post i.e. joiner/builder/Plumbing etc.

  • Committed team member to be responsible for ensuring a quality, cost-efficient service is provided for users.

  • All round building skills, Joinery, plastering, plumbing to carryout internal upgrades.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and also work alone without direct supervision

  • Willing to undertake further training

  • Hold a full driving licence

  • Previous experience working with in a School/ Home environment would be advantageous.


  • Our services are based in Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Herefordshire and Dolgellau, Wales.

    The central office team is based in Derby and from here supports the Groups services.

    The SENAD Group provide specialist education, care and community support for the most complex, vulnerable and hard to place young people and adults. Our services work with people with autism, mild to severe learning difficulties, mental health and challenging behaviour. We operate schools, care homes and community support packages predominantly across the East and West Midlands area and North Wales.

    Circa £28,000 pa

    HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week, Travel times and remuneration additional., What will we offer you?
