We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Sports Coach/Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant school community at Hazel Grove High School. In this rewarding role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring smooth lesson transitions when teachers are absent. You will become a key member of the Laurus Trust family, and will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the Trust.

This position is contracted on a 37 hours per week + 1 Week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to students and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks.

Job Purpose (For further details on the role, please see the Job Description attached below)

  • Supervise and support the students in their class work ensuring that the work set is undertaken within the time allocated.

  • Liaise with teaching staff regarding work set in class and write a brief report on all lessons supervised.


  • Key Skills & Experience
  • Sound educational background including GCSE's in Maths and English and PE (A-C) or equivalent.

  • Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous.

  • Ideally possess prior experience within a similar role.
