Full Job Description
- Carry out first and second line calibration on any equipment manufactured by GDS Technologies
- Accurately complete test reports and test certificates as required by GDS Procedures
- Be able to set up and programme PCB's following GDS work instructions
- Carry out basic repairs at module and component level
- Be able to give basic technical advice to customers by phone and by email
- Provide support to the Production Manager
- Achieve and maintain standards of quality compatible with GDS processes and procedures
- Comply with GDS Technologies Management Systems for Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (ISO 9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO/IEC 80079-34)
- Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisation
- Carry out other duties as and when requested
- Full training to be provided
Existing vocational electronic/mechanical engineering qualification at Level 3 or higher or experience within the field of instrument engineering - 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grade C or above for apprenticeship training
- Self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude
- Good communication skills
- Punctual
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Genuine interest in manufacturing and engineering
