Full Job Description

  • Carry out first and second line calibration on any equipment manufactured by GDS Technologies

  • Accurately complete test reports and test certificates as required by GDS Procedures

  • Be able to set up and programme PCB's following GDS work instructions

  • Carry out basic repairs at module and component level

  • Be able to give basic technical advice to customers by phone and by email

  • Provide support to the Production Manager

  • Achieve and maintain standards of quality compatible with GDS processes and procedures

  • Comply with GDS Technologies Management Systems for Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (ISO 9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO/IEC 80079-34)

  • Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisation

  • Carry out other duties as and when requested

  • Full training to be provided

    Existing vocational electronic/mechanical engineering qualification at Level 3 or higher or experience within the field of instrument engineering

  • 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grade C or above for apprenticeship training

  • Genuine interest in manufacturing and engineering
