As our Trade Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for executing commercial strategies and initiatives to drive sales for our growing hospitality brand. You will be responsible for developing Tortilla's brand and corporate partnerships. Sourcing the right partners, negotiating contracts and building and growing relationships to deliver joint business plans.

Tortilla has an exciting opportunity to take advantage of the growing demand for corporate catering. Particularly in urban areas, where we are seeing our loyal fans want to share their love of burritos in their workplaces too! Tortilla is already present on Just Eat for Business and Feedr. Now we are looking for someone to take this channel to the next level; through menu development, packaging optimisation, aggregator relationships, operation support and the delivery of strategic marketing plans.

Duties & Responsibilities

There are two key pillars to this Trade Marketing role: commercial brand partnership development and corporate catering channel lead.

Brand and supplier partnerships:

  • Develop and execute trade marketing strategies and campaigns to drive sales growth for Tortilla

  • Manage and grow Tortilla's relationships with commercial business partners, suppliers or brand partners, through joint business plans, commercial or media agreements

  • Identify, commercialise and deliver new opportunities for supplier and partner investment into Tortilla

  • Collaborate with existing supplier base and look for opportunities to seek investment (e.g. with our drink and snacks suppliers) through co-ordination and management of joint marketing activities, campaigns or promotions that reach our target audience

  • Negotiate contract renewals to ensure favourable agreements are made, in accordance with company's contract guidelines & policies

  • Deliver a great experience to our partners when working with our organisation - you will represent our brand & be our partners' liaison internally

  • Forecast, measure, & report the results of various projects with partners, including co-created / co-branded content promotions, lead sharing & events


  • Corporate catering channel lead:
  • Lead, develop and execute a successful marketing strategy to optimise and promote the corporate catering channel to potential clients, such as corporations, businesses and event organiser

  • Lead the corporate menu optimisation project through to launch. Including a review of the menu offer to meet customer needs, evolving packaging formats that are fit for purpose and supporting operational teams with the right tools to deliver a best-in-class catering offering

  • Plan and deliver a tool kit to support local marketing initiatives, to help the teams connect with the right businesses locally to grow the corporate ordering channel

  • Establish and maintain relationships with platform aggregators for corporate menus to support with channel growth, agreeing joint business plans and marketing support

  • Review data and insights to identify opportunities and optimise and grow the channel ongoing to remain competitive in the sector

  • Manage briefs to the food development teams, packaging suppliers and designers to create collateral required to support the channel. Ensure projects are delivered on brand, on time and on budget to meet the KPI'

  • Regularly review & report on initiatives performance, benchmarking against our own objectives as well as market trends & competitor activity

    We're looking for an energetic & highly motivated trade marketing professional with relevant experience to join our team., Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field

  • Relevant experience in a trade marketing, sales or similar business development or commercial marketing role

  • Strong negotiation skills and comfortable managing contracts

  • Commercial acumen, and ability to spot and go after commercial opportunities

  • Project management skills - ability to lead other functions to deliver initiatives on time and to meet KPI's

  • Creative & resourceful, experienced in working on a tight budget

  • Agile & adaptive, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Critical thinker & problem solver, knows how to take a data-driven approach

  • Good understanding of the hospitality industry, trends and target markets

  • A love for food, particularly Mexican is ideal!
