Trainee M&E Supervisor / Estimator

F-Tec are looking to appoint a new Trainee M&E Supervisor/Estimator for our Exeter office.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a time-served mechanical or electrical trade wanting to gradually transition into a part-office based management role.

Your working week will be split between our Exeter office and on site as and when required.

We are keen to speak to candidates that are driven, ambitious and looking to progress their career into a supervisory/management role with an expanding company. We will provide training & development, as well as support from a team of experienced professionals.

The role will include

· Accurate pre-construction pricing/estimating and production of quotes.

· Management of projects with potential values between £1k to £100,000k.

· Organising materials & supervision of labour (both employed and subcontract trades).

· Meeting with clients, architects, surveyors and being the point of contact for any issues or queries that may arise.

· Scheduling programme of works and managing the resources required to deliver the project on time and within budget.

· Communicate effectively between operatives, office staff and clients (quotes, job specs, programme of works, timesheets, service sheets, job reports).

· Putting together risk and method statements and ensuring that all works are undertaken safely and in accordance with current H&S policies and legislations.

· Time served trade in mechanical and/or electrical.

· Full driving licence (essential).

· CITB SMSTS, CSCS/ECS/JIB, First Aid at Work & Asbestos Awareness (preferred- training will be provided if required).

· Compliant in current health and safety regulations and CDM.

· Excellent communication skills.
