Full Job Description

Our Product, Design and Technology department is looking for a User Researcher to join our growing User Research team.

As part of the User Research team, you will operate across our product suite, working with Product Managers, Product Designers, Engineers and members of the User Research team. This is the ideal opportunity for someone seeking to hone their craft and strengthen their voice as a research practitioner., As the User Researcher, you will be responsible for:

  • End-to-end experience research: Planning and conducting key evaluative research studies, including the evaluation of the health of the live platform experience, identifying existing challenges and areas of opportunity across the end-to-end experience.

  • Generative research planning: Supporting the definition and implementation of generative research, ensuring existing knowledge and known patterns are leveraged from prior research or other sources of data.

  • Insight and knowledge development: Supporting the development of new insights as working knowledge as appropriate by analysing behavioural, attitudinal and market data/insights. Comfortably applying a critical lens to build on patterns throughout new or existing findings/insights across generative and evaluative research studies.

  • Insight and knowledge management: Managing the collective ownership of the research repository, supporting the development of the tagging taxonomy based on useful themes and patterns.

  • Workshop design and facilitation: Supporting the design and facilitation of research workshops, engaging cross-functional teams and stakeholders by context-setting and using relevant business and user insights/goals.

  • Cross-functional UXR support: Providing user research expertise and support to Product Management and Product Designers, ensuring teams are equipped with the right tools and approaches to carry on product research confidently.

    Experience in autonomously designing and delivering generative and evaluative research from start to finish to projects of medium-level complexity, applying several mixed methods research approaches.

  • Experience in using online research tools to aid in moderated and unmoderated research methodologies, such as unmoderated remote testing, online surveys, on-site behavioural data analytics tools, etc

  • Excellent ability to analyse data/insights and synthesise patterns, identifying gaps in knowledge or nuances in findings.

  • Experience in crafting compelling narratives, leveraging useful frameworks or suitable formats for effective communication of findings and insights, aiming to bring clarity and actionability to research outcomes.

  • Demonstrable experience working with relevant team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope and timelines.

  • An interest in understanding connections and implications across new evidence and existing knowledge to make sense of the holistic experience.

  • A willingness to hone your research craft and find or sharpen your voice as a practitioner.

  • A collaborative and open mindset, willing to learn and grow as the team and practice evolve.

  • The ability to receive and provide constructive feedback.
