Full Job Description
Ask Mummy & Daddy is fast growing confectionery brand are looking for a warehouse assistant on a zero hour contract to help contribute with assisting within our warehouse. There is a possibility for this to become a full time contract after a 3 months probation period.
We are looking for someone who is happy to get involved within the day to day running of our warehouse, work at a fast pace, work hard, be in a nice working environment and be part of a family atmosphere.
Must have a basic computer skills and be able to work their way around Excel & Word. Training will be provided for all softwares that are used day to day in the warehouse.,
- Managing stock levels of all the components used in the warehouse by updating an Excel spreadsheet at the end of every day.
- Alerting senior members when stock reaches a certain limit.
- Assist with stock replenishment, ensuring stock levels on picking shelves are maintained always.
- Ensure all online orders are processed efficiently, packed nicely and in a presentable way ensuring the customer receives order in a way you would want to receive the goods, packing all products with pride, treating each parcel with care and attention.
- Packing raw confectionery lines into packaging such as branded gift boxes, pouches and jars.
- Updating our website everyday, adding new available stock on.
- Booking deliveries in using computer, printing postage labels and problem solving when needed.
- Inspecting all deliveries to ensure they're not damaged or faulty and reporting asap
- Assist with unloading containers, sorting, counting all stock & general deliveries that come into the warehouse
- Maintain a safe and clean work space and environment at all times.
- From time to time liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies as and when required in a timely manner to make sure that wholesale orders are collected on time.
- Packing large orders onto a pallet and ensuring it is counted correctly, wrapped well and contains all necessary documents.
- Moving stock around the warehouse.
- Meeting deadlines set by the Head Office Team
- Keeping contact with the Head Office Team and updating them on needs of the warehouse.
- Finishing each job as well as possible
- Keeping the entire work environment tidy at all times ready for the next day
- Supporting your team members and working as a tight team
- Being flexible and knowing that tasks will vary day to day
Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred) - Driving Licence (preferred)
